Jim and Ray | UP Music Legends

Sunday nights are back!! The new year has us at Blackrocks every Sunday night from 5:00 to 8:00. There aren’t 25 cent tacos available yet, but we’re working on it… So far the gigs have been a blast and are starting to feel like the Northwoods nights from years gone by, except a little more grown up??? Come see what’s happening!

April 11th we’ll be at Kognisjon Brewery in Marquette, serving music while they serve tasty craft beers, seltzers and wine.

Wawonowin Golf Club in West Ishpeming has a great Fish Fry on Friday’s and all are welcome to join. We’ll be there the First Friday of every month through the summer and fall.

Many years ago, back when an apple was something you ate and bluetooth meant you better get to your dentist right away, people listened to music on home stereos. They bought their cassette tapes and record albums, and the equipment to play them on, at stereo stores. In Marquette there was a stereo store called The Sound Center and both Jim and Ray worked there. One year they were asked to play as a duo for the store’s Christmas party and Jim and Ray began their musical journey that night. (Trivia note: The first gig they were Ray and Jim. When and why the order was changed no one knows.) Almost 40 years later they may look a little different but the music is still playing. What kind of music? Good music!
